The Center for the New American Dream

Last year, we stumbled upon an organization called Center for a New American Dream. Their mission is to help individuals and institutions change the way they consume to improve quality of life, protect the environment and promote social justice.

Center for a New American Dream is working to increase their member base without the use of junk mail, spam or advertising. They rely on good-'ol word of mouth. So, we're going to help them, because as members ourselves, we support their ideology and efforts. They'll teach you how to have more fun with less stuff. It's refreshing, enlightening and practical.

Their quarterly newsletter entitled "Enough!" is packed with articles and information on how to live a fuller life more simply. It's offered either via mail on 100% post consumer recycled, chlorine-free paper or delivered electronically.

As a member ($25 each or $20 each for three or more gift memberships) you are also encouraged to participate in Turn the Tide – nine actions for the Planet. The free workbook for members includes a program of nine daily consumer actions anyone can take to immediately see a measurable, positive impact on the environment.
