There's also another book that would be interesting to cover. "Kitchen Literacy: How We Lost Knowledge of Where Food Comes From and Why We Need to Get It Back" by Ann Vileisis.

I loved the Omnivore's Dilemma and am now reading In Defense of Food. I totally recommend both books
